Abstract
The objective of this research work was the use of communication and information technologies and quality teaching performance in the specialty of Industrial Automation at the UNE Faculty of Technology, 2017, research that was carried out following the quantitative paradigm, located within of the substantive studies, and following the procedures of the non-experimental cross-sectional correlational design. The population included students from the Faculty of Technology, with 88 participants for this study; using non-probabilistic census sampling. The instruments that were used to collect evidence and perceptions about the variables were a questionnaire on the use of communication and information technologies and another questionnaire on quality teaching performance. These were validated through expert judgment and obtained reliability through the Alpha statistic. Cronbach's (0.936 and 0.955 respectively). It was found that 59.1% (52) of the students consider that the use of ICT is regular, and that 63.6% (56) of the students show that quality teaching performance is regular. Which concludes that the use of ICT is significantly related to teaching performance with quality in the specialty of Industrial Automation at the Une Faculty of Technology, 2017. (p ˂ 0.05, Spearman's rho = 0.699, being a positive correlation high).
