Abstract
El presente estudio de investigación denominado: Desempeño docente y el
rendimiento académico en el área de matemática en los estudiantes de educación
secundaria de la Institución Educativa Pública San Martín de Porres – Carhuaz – Ancash –
2019. Por la naturaleza de su procedimiento le corresponde un enfoque cuantitativo, con
tipo de investigación sustantiva o de base, diseño descriptivo correlacional y método
hipotético deductivo. La muestra estuvo conformada por 36 docentes y 40 estudiantes de la
institución educativa en mención. La técnica utilizada fue la encuesta y los instrumentos
que nos permitieron recabar la información del caso, fueron: Cuestionario sobre
desempeño docente y las actas de calificaciones obtenidas por los estudiantes en el área de
matemática. El procesamiento estadístico y los resultados evidenciaron que: Existe
relación significativa entre desempeño docente, a nivel total y por las dimensiones:
preparación para el aprendizaje de los estudiantes, enseñanza para el aprendizaje de los
estudiantes, participación en la gestión de la escuela articulada a la comunidad y el
desarrollo de la profesionalidad y la identidad docente, y el rendimiento académico en el
área de matemática en los estudiantes de educación secundaria de la Institución Educativa
Pública San Martín de Porres – Carhuaz – Ancash – 2019.
The present research study called: Teaching performance and academic performance in the area of mathematics in secondary education students of the Public Educational Institution San Martín de Porres - Carhuaz - Ancash - 2019. Due to the nature of its procedure, an approach corresponds to it quantitative, with type of substantive or basic research, correlational descriptive design and deductive hypothetical method. The sample consisted of 36 teachers and 40 students from the educational institution in question. The technique used was the survey and the instruments that allowed us to collect the information of the case were: Questionnaire on teacher performance and the report cards obtained by students in the area of mathematics. The statistical processing and the results showed that: There is a significant relationship between teacher performance, at a total level and by the dimensions: preparation for student learning, teaching for student learning, participation in the management of the school articulated to the community and the development of professionalism and teaching identity, and academic performance in the area of mathematics in secondary education students of the Public Educational Institution San Martín de Porres - Carhuaz - Ancash - 2019.
