Abstract
El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación fue el uso de TIC en la enseñanza de una lengua extranjera y cómo este se relaciona con el aprendizaje del idioma inglés en los estudiantes de carreras técnicas, los cuales dentro de su malla curricular presentan el curso de inglés a lo largo de su formación educativa. Es por ello que el objetivo fue buscar la relación entre las variables de estudio. Para ello se utilizó el enfoque cuantitativo el cual orientó los parámetros y la naturaleza de la investigación. El tipo de investigación fue correlacional buscando la relación que existe entre el uso de recursos tecnológicos y el aprendizaje de inglés como lengua extranjera. La población y muestra fue un grupo de 100 estudiantes entre las carreras técnicas que se dictan en la institución CETEMIN. Los instrumentos de recolección de datos fueron un cuestionario, una prueba de Met Go y una entrevista en inglés, los mismos que fueron construidos, validados en el extremo de sus contenidos por juicio de expertos. Para la aplicación de dichos instrumentos se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta. Luego de realizar la prueba de hipótesis se llegó a comprobar que existe relación significativa entre las variables de uso de TIC y aprendizaje de inglés como lengua extranjera.
The objective of this research work was the use of ICT in the teaching of a foreign language and how this is related to the learning of the English language in students of technical careers, who within their curricular framework present the English course to throughout their educational training. That is why the objective was to find the relationship between the study variables. For this, the quantitative approach was used, which guided the parameters and nature of the research. The type of research was correlational, seeking the relationship that exists between the use of technological resources and the learning of English as a foreign language. The population and sample was a group of 100 students among the technical careers taught at the CETEMIN institution. The data collection instruments were a questionnaire, a Met Go test and an interview in English, which were constructed and validated at the end of their contents by expert judgment. For the application of these instruments, the survey technique was used. After carrying out the hypothesis test, it was verified that there is a significant relationship between the variables of ICT use and learning of English as a foreign language.
