Abstract
El estudio de la presente investigación gira en torno a dos variables: Metacognición
y competencias matemáticas. El objetivo es analizar de qué manera se relacionan estas dos
variables en las estudiantes de secundaria de la Institución Educativa General Prado –
Callao. La investigación es de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo básica con un diseño descriptivo-
correlacional. La población es de 150 estudiantes del segundo grado de secundaria de la
Institución Educativa General Prado – Callao. La muestra está conformada por 103
estudiantes.
La técnica empleada fue la encuesta. Para el tratamiento estadístico de los resultados
se usó el software SPSS (versión 21 en español). También, se realizó el tratamiento
estadístico descriptivo elaborando tablas y figuras, y para la estadística inferencial se utilizó
la prueba de normalidad de Kolmogórov-Smirnov, y la prueba de correlación de Spearman.
Los resultados muestran que los valores de sig < 0.05, por lo tanto, se rechaza H0, se acepta
que los datos de la muestra no provienen de una distribución normal, por lo tanto, para probar
las hipótesis planteadas se usará el Rho de Spearman. por lo cual se rechaza la hipótesis nula
y se admite la hipótesis del investigador H1. Existe una relación alta, directa y significativa
entre la metacognición y las competencias matemáticas en las estudiantes del segundo grado
de secundaria de la Institución Educativa General Prado - Callao
The study of the present investigation revolves around two variables: Metacognition and mathematical competences. The objective is to analyze how these two variables are related in secondary school students from the General Prado - Callao Educational Institution. The research is of a quantitative approach, of a basic type with a descriptive-correlational design. The population is 150 students of the second grade of the secondary school of the General Prado - Callao Educational Institution. The sample is made up of 103 students.The technique used was the survey. The SPSS software was used for the statistical treatment of the results (version 21 in Spanish). Also, the descriptive statistical treatment was carried out, elaborating tables and figures, and the Kolmogórov- Smirnov normality test and the Spearman correlation test were used for inferential statistics. The results show that the values of sig <0.05, therefore, H0 is rejected, it is accepted that the sample data do not come from a normal distribution, therefore, to test the hypotheses, Spearman's Rho will be used. Therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected and the hypothesis of researcher H1 is admitted. There is a high, direct and significant relationship between metacognition and mathematical competencies in second-grade high school students from the General Prado Educational Institution – Callao.
