Abstract
El presente trabajo titulado Actitud hacia la matemática y el rendimiento académico
en los estudiantes del 3° grado de educación secundaria de la Institución Educativa
“Augusto Cazorla” de la Región Callao, tuvo como objetivo general el de establecer la
relación entre Actitud hacia la matemática y el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes
del 3° grado de educación secundaria; se planteó la hipótesis: La relación que existe entre
la actitud de los estudiantes hacia el área de Matemática y el rendimiento académico en los
estudiantes del 3° grado de educación secundaria de la I.E “Augusto Cazorla” de la Región
Callao, es positiva y significativa. La investigación tuvo como metodología, enfoque
cuantitativo, método descriptivo, de tipo sustantivo, nivel descriptivo, diseño correlacional,
la muestra fue 90 estudiantes del 3° grado de educación, a quienes se les aplicó un
cuestionario de actitud hacia las Matemática y para cada uno de ellos se obtuvo sus
calificaciones de registro de notas de los tres primeros bimestres de estudio que obran en la
subdirección académica de la institución educativa. Se hizo la prueba de hipótesis
mediante el Rho de Spearman y se halló que: existe relación positiva, alta y significativa
entre la actitud de los estudiantes hacia el área de Matemática y el rendimiento académico.
(p < 0,05 y Rho de Spearman = 0,847 correlación positiva considerable).
