Abstract
The objective of this research work was to determine the relationship between the professional training of students studying the last cycles of Medicine and their satisfaction. For this purpose, the methodological approach used has been based on the quantitative paradigm, whose research design was non-experimental, observational and cross-sectional, whose level was correlational. The population that was considered for the study was composed of 140 students and the sample was estimated at 103 students, whose sampling applied was simple random probabilistic. To quantify the study variables, questionnaires were used: the first questionnaire measures professional training based on 28 items and six dimensions: general training, basic training, specialized training, complementary training, pre-professional training, and investigative training. On the other hand, the second questionnaire applied measures student satisfaction based on 24 items and four dimensions: teaching, academic organization, university life and university infrastructure and services. Both instruments had acceptable reliability whose Cronbach's Alpha values were 0.838 and 0.903 respectively. Regarding the relevant results of the contingency tables, it has been revealed that 69.90% of the students felt satisfied because they perceived that the level of professional training is regular. On the other hand, it has been obtained n p value = 0.000 (p < 0.05) and a Kendall's Tau-b coefficient equal to 0.735, so it has been concluded that there is a high positive linear correlation between vocational training and student satisfaction.
