Abstract
El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación es trata sobre el clima social familiar y el desempeño
académico de los estudiantes de las especialidades de Inglés-Francés e Inglés-Español
como lengua extranjera que cursaron el semestre académico 2021-I. El enfoque de
investigación utilizada para tal fin fue cuantitativo. El tipo fue no experimental con diseño
correlacional. El método que se aplicó para el desarrollo del mismo fue descriptivo. Las
técnicas de recojo de datos fueron la encuesta, la observación y el análisis documental. Los
instrumentos fueron el cuestionario Escala de Clima social familiar de R.H. Moos (1984) y
el registro de notas. En lo referente a la confiabilidad, de acuerdo con el índice de
confiabilidad Kuder-Richardson 20, siendo éste 0,943 se infiere que el instrumento tiene
fuerte confiabilidad. Luego del procesamiento de la información y las correspondientes
pruebas de hipótesis se llegó a la conclusión de que el clima social familiar está
relacionado directamente con el desempeño académico del idioma inglés en los estudiantes
de la Universidad Nacional de Educación Enrique Guzmán y Valle en la muestra de
estudio. Es decir que, en cuanto más nivel alcance el clima social familiar, será mayor el
nivel alcanzado por el desempeño académico, además según la correlación de Spearman de
0,680, representa ésta una correlación positiva alta.
The objective of this research work is about the family social climate and the academic performance of the students of the specialties of English-French and English-Spanish as a foreign language who attended the academic semester 2021-I. The research approach used for this purpose was quantitative. The type was non-experimental with a correlational design. The method that was applied for its development was descriptive. The data collection techniques were the survey, observation and documentary analysis. The instruments were the R.H. Family Social Climate Scale questionnaire. Moos (1984) and the record of notes. Regarding reliability, according to the Kuder-Richardson 20 reliability index, being 0.943, it is inferred that the instrument has strong reliability. After processing the information and the corresponding hypothesis tests, it was concluded that the family social climate is directly related to the academic performance of the English language in the students of the National University of Education Enrique Guzmán y Valle in the sample of study. In other words, the higher the level of the family social climate, the higher the level of academic performance will be, in addition, according to Spearman's correlation of 0.680, this represents a high positive correlation.
