Abstract
El trabajo, Habilidades metalingüísticas y rendimiento lector en estudiantes del 2º grado de
Educación Primaria de la Institución Educativa Pública Nº 5140 – Pachacútec. 2019, tuvo
como objetivo determinar si existe relación significativa entre las habilidades
metalingüísticas y el rendimiento lector, en estudiantes de segundo grado, objetivo que se
comprende en los objetivos específicos para su mejor estudio. Para el estudio de las
variables se utilizó; el test de Habilidades metalingüísticas (THM), para medir el grado de
las habilidades metalingüísticas, y la Prueba de lectura para conocer el rendimiento lector
de los niños y niñas. Se utilizó el método descriptivo y como diseño de investigación al
diseño descriptivo-correlacional, no se hizo ninguna técnica de muestreo y se determinó
trabajar con toda la población compuesta por 110 niños y niñas. Los resultados indican que
las Habilidades Metalingüísticas se correlacionan en un nivel altamente significativo
(p>0.01) con el Rendimiento Lector; tipificado como indicador de una correlación
“positiva muy fuerte”. En consecuencia, se rechaza la hipótesis nula y se acepta la
Hipótesis General que dice “Existe una relación significativa entre el nivel de Habilidades
Metalingüísticas y el nivel de Rendimiento Lector en estos estudiantes.
The work, metalinguistic skills and reading performance in students of the 2nd grade of Primary Education of the Public Educational Institution No. 5140 - Pachacútec. 2019, aimed to determine if there is a significant relationship between metalinguistic skills and reading performance in second grade students, an objective that is included in the specific objectives for their better study. For the study of the variables, it was used; the Metalinguistic Skills Test (THM), to measure the degree of metalinguistic skills, and the Reading Test to know the reading performance of boys and girls. The descriptive method was used and the descriptive-correlational design was used as a research design, no sampling technique was used and it was determined to work with the entire population consisting of 110 boys and girls. The results indicate that Metalinguistic Skills are correlated at a highly significant level (p> 0.01) with Reading Performance; typified as an indicator of a “very strong positive” correlation. Consequently, the null hypothesis is rejected and the General Hypothesis is accepted that says “There is a significant relationship between the level of Metalinguistic Skills and the level of Reading Performance in these students.
