dc.description.abstractEl objetivo de este trabajo de investigación es dar a conocer el empirismo y el racionalismo en la filosofía moderna reflejan la importancia que adquirió la discusión acerca del conocimiento en general, particularmente en lo referente a las fuentes del conocimiento y la forma de demostrar su veracidad. En esta confrontación se desarrollaron los planteamientos notoriamente opuestos de Locke y sus seguidores, incluido Berkeley, como expresión del empirismo, frente a aquellos iniciados por Descartes y llevado a su más alta expresión por Leibniz. Por un lado, el empirismo con la teoría planteada, originalmente por Aristóteles, desarrollada por Locke, Berkeley, Hume y otros, de la mente como una tabula rasa, en la que la percepción sensible ira impregnando las ideas, como elementos fundamentales, con las cuales operara el entendimiento; y, por el otro, el racionalismo con la tradición iniciada por Platón, que plantea la preexistencia de las ideas en el entendimiento, retomada por Descartes, desarrollada por otros como Malebranche y llevada a su máxima expresión por Leibniz, contribuyeron decisivamente con el desarrollo de las ciencias modernas, especialmente la física clásica.es_PE
dc.description.abstractThe objective of this research work is to make known empiricism and rationalism in modern philosophy, reflecting the importance acquired by the discussion about knowledge in general, particularly with regard to the sources of knowledge and the way to demonstrate its veracity. In this confrontation, the notoriously opposite approaches of Locke and his followers, including Berkeley, were developed as an expression of empiricism, compared to those initiated by Descartes and taken to their highest expression by Leibniz. On the one hand, empiricism with the theory proposed, originally by Aristotle, developed by Locke, Berkeley, Hume and others, of the mind as a tabula rasa, in which sensible perception will impregnate the ideas, as fundamental elements, with the which the understanding will operate; and, on the other, rationalism with the tradition initiated by Plato, which proposes the preexistence of ideas in the understanding, taken up by Descartes, developed by others such as Malebranche and taken to its maximum expression by Leibniz, contributed decisively to the development of modern sciences, especially classical physics.es_PE
