Abstract

The objective of this research work is to know Henry VIII, first we must study the context of the century XV and XVI, which represent the transition from the Middle Ages to the Modern Age or the moment of change from feudal society to capitalist society. In this context of time of change, in the fifteenth century England was living in a recovery economy after the Hundred Years War led by Henry VII, who also led England to its economic development and keep it stable despite the conflicts internal as of the war of the roses. In addition, in this context they would begin to express the first reformist ideas of the church that he had to face as a faithful Christian and served by Rome, the latter would change at the time that Henry VIII agrees to be the head of the Church of England through the Act of Supremacy in 1534, so he rejects and ignores the authority of the Pope. This allows the creation of a new Anglican church. On the other hand, the suppression of the peasants due to the religious break and the sale of the confiscated lands of the Catholics to the nobility class and the bourgeoisie springs for the production of wool animals. This situation has made each time the gentrified class buy more grazing land as the sale and export of wool is had converted raw material and with great demand, in view of this situation and due to the need to expand their lands they suppressed the peasants from their lands, this would generate the migration of the peasants to the cities or the so-called burgos, where many of them they would become workers in textile factories and among others. In that sense it is era would mark the beginning of the working class. On his part Henry VIII of the six marriages carried out during his reign had three children, the eldest being María who was born from the marriage with Catalina their first wife, who was queen between the years of 1553 to 1558, is the political project of her was the recovery of Catholicism and the elimination of all acts made by his father and his his brother Eduardo with respect to religion; thus removes the title of Supremacy. So same, as the second daughter was Isabel born from the marriage with Anne Boleyn who was her second wife, his political project was the recovery of Anglicanism for which he eliminated many acts in matters of religion issued by his sister, for which in 1559 issued the act of uniformity, likewise restored the Title of Head of the Church Anglican, all this was carried out peacefully and that is why it is characterized. And by last, Eduardo born from marriage with Juana Seymur who was the third wife, who would assume the kingdom as Eduardo VI who continued the government policy of his his father accompanied by his advisers.
