Abstract
El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación es comprender y explicar aspectos de la historia del inglés desde su origen como lengua germánica hasta los aportes que recibió de otras lenguas, sus características y las etapas que contribuyeron a su evolución que proviene de las tribus germánicas, las palabras del latín, los aportes de los romanos (al igual que las palabras que tomaron de otros idiomas) los dialectos hablados por los anglosajones que forman el inglés antiguo permiten el desplazamiento de la lengua indígena británica, el La conquista normanda y la publicación de los Cuentos de Canterbury de Geoffrey Chaucer, así como The Provisions of Oxford, realizada en 1258, la declaración de la extensión del inglés por parte del gobierno de Londres en el siglo XV (debido a la evolución del vocabulario inglés) aparición de la imprenta y la publicación del primer diccionario en inglés titulado: A Dictionary of the English Language. La investigación aborda la importancia de la enseñanza del inglés, las teorías de la enseñanza de idiomas y las diferencias entre el inglés americano y el inglés británico. Se explica la metodología aplicada para la enseñanza de este idioma, destacando las habilidades de comprensión auditiva, lectura, expresión oral y escritura. Asimismo, se menciona el interés de la población por aprender a hablar este idioma. Por último, se muestra la aplicación metodológica y didáctica.
The objective of this research work is to understand and explain aspects of the history of English from its origin as a Germanic language to the contributions it received from other languages, its characteristics and the stages that contributed to its evolution that comes from the Germanic tribes, the words from Latin, the contributions of the Romans (as well as the words they borrowed from other languages) the dialects spoken by the Anglo-Saxons that make up Old English allow the displacement of the indigenous British language, the Norman conquest and the publication of the Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, as well as The Provisions of Oxford, made in 1258, the declaration of the spread of English by the London government in the 15th century (due to the evolution of English vocabulary), the appearance of the printing press and the publication of the first dictionary in English entitled: A Dictionary of the English Language. The research addresses the importance of teaching English, language teaching theories, and the differences between American English and British English. The methodology applied to the teaching of this language is explained, highlighting the skills of listening comprehension, reading, oral expression and writing. Likewise, the interest of the population in learning to speak this language is mentioned. Finally, the methodological and didactic application is shown.
