La agricultura urbana y su necesidad de desarrollo en las instituciones educativas

Abstract
El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación es mostrar que tan importante puede ser desarrollar políticas de agricultura no solo en las Instituciones educativas, sino también en el hogar.
Como sabemos la agricultura se inició hace 100000 años. Algunos autores indican
que fue por casualidad, otros indican que por necesidad. ¿Pero cuál necesidad? Indican que
por el incremento en la cantidad de integrantes de las caravanas en las que se movían. Pero
al fin al cabo son algunas hipótesis.
Las grandes áreas de cultivo se encuentras lejos de las grandes ciudades hoy en
días, por lo que tiene que haber un costo en el transporte a las ciudades que son donde se
encuentran los principales consumidores. Por ende, el agricultor tiene que aumentar el
precio del producto para recuperar lo invertido en el transporte. Entonces al final el precio
del producto tiene que ser sobrevalorado para poder obtener ganancias. Y los principales
perjudicados son las familias de escasos recursos.
Como indicamos líneas arriba, la finalidad de este tipo de agricultura es que las
personas que lo practiquen tengan una buena y sana alimentación, además de ello también
podrían tener algunos ingresos ofreciendo sus productos en el mercado de la ciudad.
La agricultura urbana tiene otro beneficio muy importante que es la seguridad
alimenticia, consiste en adquirir a través de este tipo de agricultura alimentos libres de
químicos como son los residuos de fertilizantes, abono sintético, plaguicidas entre otros.
Lo cual a la larga puede afectar en nuestra salud.
Pero esta tarea no es tan fácil como uno podría pensar ya que en nuestros días
luchamos contra la tecnología, una política de consumismo inculcado por las grandes
transnacionales, de sedentarismo, de la preferencia por la comida rápida y además chatarra,
entre otros. No es una tarea imposible si empezamos por nuestros hijos más pequeños,
inculcándolos, inspirándolos a conocer, a valorar las cosas que provienen de la naturaleza, que tantos beneficios nos brindan a cada instante y que nosotros no conocemos su
importancia.
Según algunos autores la agricultura en las instituciones educativas debería ser
obligatoria, ya que es una forma de relacionarse con el entorno que nos rodea. En las
instituciones educativas se podría construir biohuertos escolares, cultivos de hiponía, entre
otras formas.
Todo lo que nos rodea. Pero no solo en las instituciones educativas, sino también
en la casa, poder enseñar a nuestros hijos, hermanos la importancia de la agricultura, en
nuestras vidas, que nos brinda alimento, el oxígeno que tanto necesitamos para poder vivir.
Hay algunas formas de poder ayuda a nuestros hijos, animarlos a conocer la
naturaleza, como, por ejemplo, practicando la jardinería, cultivando en los pequeños
espacios de la casa algunas plantas, si tenemos un poco más de espacio, poder hacer un
jardín de flores, un biohuerto familiar entre otras formas.
Para finalizar la naturaleza nos brinda muchas cosas para nuestra subsistencia, solo
nos falta conocer y valorarlo, veremos lo tan importante que es para nosotros.
The objective of this research work is to show how important it can be to develop agricultural policies not only in educational institutions, but also at home. As we know, agriculture began 100,000 years ago. Some authors indicate that it was by chance, others indicate that it was necessary. But what need? They indicate that due to the increase in the number of members of the caravans in which they moved. But at the end of the day they are some hypotheses. The large growing areas are far from the big cities nowadays, so there has to be a cost in transportation to the cities that are where the main consumers are. Therefore, the farmer has to increase the price of the product to recover the investment in transportation. So in the end the price of the product has to be overvalued in order to make a profit. And the main victims are low-income families. As we indicated above, the purpose of this type of agriculture is that the people who practice it have a good and healthy diet, in addition to that they could also have some income by offering their products in the city market. Urban agriculture has another very important benefit, which is food security. Through this type of agriculture, it consists of acquiring chemical-free food such as fertilizer residues, synthetic fertilizer, pesticides, among others. Which in the long run can affect our health. But this task is not as easy as one might think since nowadays we are fighting against technology, a policy of consumerism instilled by large transnationals, a sedentary lifestyle, a preference for fast food and also junk, among others. It is not an impossible task if we start with our youngest children, instilling them, inspiring them to know, to value the things that come from nature, that provide us with so many benefits at every moment and that we do not know their importance. According to some authors, agriculture in educational institutions should be compulsory, since it is a way of relating to the environment that surrounds us. In educational institutions, school vegetable gardens, hippo crops, among other forms, could be built. Everything that surrounds us. But not only in educational institutions, but also at home, to be able to teach our children, brothers and sisters the importance of agriculture in our lives, which provides us with food, the oxygen that we need so much to be able to live. There are some ways to help our children, encourage them to get to know nature, such as, for example, practicing gardening, growing some plants in the small spaces of the house, if we have a little more space, being able to make a flower garden , a family vegetable garden among other forms.
