Abstract
El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación es analizar la existencia de una posible relación entre las motivaciones intrínseca o extrínseca y el nivel de logros de aprendizaje en el área de C.T.A. de los estudiantes del 2° Grado de Secundaria de la Institución Educativa 22 de Octubre de Urcurume de Cutervo, Región Cajamarca. La muestra estuvo formada por 31 estudiantes comprendidos entre los 9 y 10 años de edad. Considerando la posible existencia de variables sociodemográficas asociadas al desempeño, se aplicó un cuestionario para recolectar datos, que por su potencial de carácter descriptivo, interpretativo y reflexivo, constituyó una herramienta importante en el análisis y evaluación de los resultados obtenidos. Para evaluar las motivaciones intrínseca y extrínseca, se aplicó una escala de motivación escolar, medida para la población, que contiene 18 preguntas. Cada una de estas preguntas contiene 4 posibles respuestas (dos relacionadas con la motivación intrínseca y dos relacionadas con la motivación extrínseca). En cuanto a los logros de aprendizaje en el área de C.T.A, este se evaluó a través de las calificaciones que obtuvieron los estudiantes al final del año académico y que fueron otorgadas por sus profesores. El análisis de los resultados mostró que existe relación entre la motivación y los logros de aprendizaje en el área de C.T.A, concluyendo que los estudiantes motivados intrínsecamente se desempeñan mejor que los estudiantes motivados extrínsecamente. De esta forma, consideramos que la implementación de estrategias en las aulas que promuevan la motivación intrínseca será más beneficiosa para el éxito académico de los estudiantes.

The analysis of the results showed that there is a relationship between motivation and learning achievement in the area of C.T.A, concluding that intrinsically motivated students perform better than extrinsically motivated students. In this way, we consider that the implementation of strategies in the classroom that promote intrinsic motivation will be more beneficial for the academic success of students.
