Abstract
El objetivo de este trabajo e investigación es para dar información sobre la importancia de la enseñanza de la cultura en la enseñanza del inglés como lengua extranjera para aumentar la motivación de los estudiantes, la participación y la implicación en el proceso de aprendizaje.
Hay varias formas de utilizar la cultura para enseñar inglés, tantas como manifestaciones culturales existen en el idioma. Según la literatura, en un salón de clases de inglés como lengua extranjera es muy útil enseñar inglés usando recursos culturales, tales como: libros de texto con contenido cultural, literatura sobre temas interesantes que están escritos en el idioma de destino, música, videos, recursos multimedia, películas, programas de televisión. , sitcoms, videojuegos, entre muchos otros.
Cuando se enseña inglés, un aspecto importante a tener en cuenta es que las percepciones y creencias del docente son muy importantes, porque el docente es el modelo a seguir para los estudiantes en el aprendizaje de su lengua meta. Es importante que el docente mantenga una actitud abierta a todas las manifestaciones culturales y todos los posibles recursos y materiales que pueda utilizar para motivar a los alumnos. De la misma manera, es de suma importancia que, al utilizar la cultura popular, el docente guíe a los estudiantes sobre la forma adecuada de hablar o escribir, en cuanto a las diferencias entre el lenguaje formal e informal y cuándo utilizar cuál.
El uso de la conciencia intercultural durante la enseñanza del inglés ha demostrado ser un aspecto importante dentro de las aulas. Las aulas son microentornos donde se reúnen estudiantes de diferentes procedencias con un mismo proceso de aprendizaje. Honrar sus diferencias es imprescindible, y el respeto a su cultura y creencias personales contribuye en gran medida a la intención de obtener su impulso y cooperación. Las investigaciones en el campo de la conciencia intercultural han demostrado que establecer relaciones entre la cultura propia y la cultura asociada a la lengua meta había sido beneficiosa para mejorar el aprendizaje, y especialmente la motivación.
The objective of this work and research is to give information about the importance of teaching culture in teaching English as a foreign language to increase students' motivation, participation and involvement in the learning process. When teaching English, an important aspect to keep in mind is that the teacher's perceptions and beliefs are very important, because the teacher is the role model for the students in learning their target language. It is important that the teacher maintain an open attitude to all cultural manifestations and all possible resources and materials that he can use to motivate students. In the same way, it is of the utmost importance that, when using popular culture, the teacher guides students on the appropriate way to speak or write, regarding the differences between formal and informal language and when to use which. The use of intercultural awareness during the teaching of English has proven to be an important aspect within the classroom. Classrooms are micro-environments where students from different backgrounds come together with the same learning process. Honoring their differences is imperative, and respecting their culture and personal beliefs goes a long way toward gaining their momentum and cooperation. Research in the field of intercultural awareness has shown that establishing relationships between one's own culture and the culture associated with the target language has been beneficial in improving learning, and especially motivation.
