Abstract
In this research, a study is reported whose objective was to determine the development of scientific skills through the pastry workshop. The research design is quasi-experimental, in which 25 children participated in the experimental group and 20 in the control group, both groups belonging to the preschool level of the educational institution of the district of La Victoria, Lima-Peru. The instrument used was an Ad hoc rubric with an internal validity of 0,977 according to Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, which consists of 21 items and evaluates the dimensions: observation, hypothetical beliefs, experimentation and verbalization with a Likert-type scale. The results show that there are significant differences in the experimental group after the application of the pastry workshop compared to the control group. Data that are similar to those found by Akmal et al. (2017) and this should be that through the interaction of playful strategies and children's interest, it allows the development of learning such as the scientific one (Quijano, 2016). It is concluded that there is a positive influence on the development of scientific skills through the pastry workshop.
