Abstract
El presente estudio de investigación tuvo como objetivo central establecer la
relación que existe entre la inteligencia emocional y autoconcepto en estudiantes de la
Escuela de Posgrado de la Universidad Nacional de Educación Enrique Guzmán y Valle.
El estudio tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo sustantivo o de base, con diseño
descriptivo – correlacional y método hipotético deductivo. La muestra se definió a través
del tipo de muestreo no probabilístico, intencionado y censal, conformándose con 26
estudiantes. La técnica utilizada fue la encuesta y como instrumentos se tomó en cuenta los
cuestionarios sobre inteligencia emocional y el cuestionario sobre autoconcepto. Los datos
estadísticos fueron procesados a través del programa SPSS en su última versión. Las
conclusiones a las cuales se arribó, son las siguientes: Existe relación significativa entre la
inteligencia emocional, a nivel total y por las dimensiones: intrapersonal, interpersonal,
manejo de estrés y estado de ánimo, y autoconcepto en estudiantes de la Escuela de
Posgrado de la Universidad Nacional de Educación Enrique Guzmán y Valle.
The min objetive of This research study was to establish the relationship between emotional intelligence and self-concept in students of the Graduate School of the Enrique Guzmán y Valle National University of Education. The study had a quantitative approach, substantive or basic, with descriptive - correlational design and deductive hypothetical method. The sample was defined through the type of non-probabilistic, intentional and census sampling, conforming to 26 students. The technique used was the survey and as instruments the emotional intelligence questionnaires and the self-concept questionnaire were taken into account. The statistical data were processed through the SPSS program in its latest version. The conclusions reached were the following: There is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence, at a total level and by dimensions: intrapersonal, interpersonal, stress management and mood, and self-concept in students of the Graduate School of the National University of Education Enrique Guzmán y Valle.
